Hey! Good news, everyone!

I'm happy to share that I've almost finished a new 0.5.0 version of sm_td. This update fixes the issue with three-finger rolls, making sm_td usable for high-speed typing (and some other small bugs too).

This version is still in the "release candidate" phase, which means I'm still testing it in different environments to ensure it's stable and works well. Before I release it, I need to write extensive documentation and a migration guide because switching from version 0.4.0 to 0.5.0 is not a trivial task. I think I will be ready to release it in about two weeks.

In the meantime, I can offer you to join the beta test. I need some feedback from high-speed typers because my typing skills are not very good. I suggest a process like this:

  • Create a repository on GitHub with your keymaps (a folder with config.h, keymap.c and other files) with sm_td installed (so I could update it to 0.5.0-RC)
  • I will create a pull request (PR) there with the migration to 0.5.0 the next day
  • Try it out and send me your feedback If everything works for you!

If you are interested, please contact me by email (same name as my github account + at gmail.com) or join the sm_td Discord server: https://discord.gg/K7jNbawj
