Let's be honest, flashcards get tedious
Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like to "gamify" the flashcard experience. I'm sure there are better ideas, so these are just a few to give start thinking about it
First, add to the 3 options (hard, good, easy) the option "wrong".
Streak tracking- have a visual way to display how many days in a row flashcards were reviewed. (tweak: set a variable minimum of reviewed flashcards to qualify + the ability to freeze the streak-tracking for up to 2 days)
Daily challenge: start with 3 hearts, and get another for every X flashcards that are correct. Lose a heart every time a flashcard is marked as incorrect. When hearts run out display a message saying it's time for a break. Display how many corrects were done consecutively with a colorful bar.
Play against a timer: a 5/15/30 minute time (animated, pulsing in the last 10% of time) to try and go thru flashcards. Have a "personal best" record tracking for as many as possible
Encouraging graphics and sounds - whatever works
I'm sure there are better ideas, but the best idea is the one that's easiest to implement and start with. Anything, really, to make the experience a little bit less monotonous, perhaps even something to look forward to and be engaged in
