Feature request: use of git worktree for temporary branch checkout

I've been looking at this build quality tool with interest, but the main reason I am not able to use it is because it runs a checkout of the test branch on my main spack instance where I have all kinds of other feature branches merged as well as (too many) unstaged changes. What would be required to run the branch checkout in a git worktree directory?
