I came across your work when trying to find a solution to an issue where running kind via podman on Ubuntu 23.10 doesn't seem to take into account the user unit of systemd (specifically the Delegate config).

So far the only solution I found was this one:
kubernetes-sigs/kind#2916 (comment)

Just mentioning this in case you want to add it to your notes, but up to you, really just an FYI.
