Internationalization?

I tried installing https://github.com/solidusio/solidus_i18n and adjusting the language in the backend, but that did not do anything so far :/

Ah, if I offer only one language I need to set it in the config, the backend setting only works with multiple languages it seems...

Hi @xeruf ! Were you able to resolve the issue you were having? If so, can you describe what the issue was, and how you resolved it? It might help us in improving our documentation :)

I wanted to offer my store only in German for now.
If, after installing i18n, I go into the backend and select German as only frontend language, it still uses English.
I have to either offer multiple languages or edit the config files.
Not really a fix, more of a workaround.

You probably need to adjust I18n.default_locale = :the_code_for_the_language

Yes that is what I did.
But selecting the language in the backend should also work.
