Hi Soham,
I am new to gradle and not able to remove java 8 / retro lambda. can you please write few comments in code to remove the compile error caused due to retro lambda denpendency.

Meher, the steps to compile this without Java 8 is already there in the Readme in the "preparation" section, have you tried that?
