This describes the Z-Wave device ZEN23, manufactured by Zooz with the thing type UID of zooz_zen23v3_03_000
.
This version of the device is limited to firmware versions above 3.0
The device is in the category of Wall Switch, defining Any device attached to the wall that controls a binary status of something, for ex. a light switch.
The ZEN23 supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network.

- Bring your Z-Wave gateway hub or controller within direct range of the switch
- Put your Z-Wave controller in inclusion mode
- Toggle the switch up quickly 3 times to finalize the inclusion process
- A new on/off device should appear on your controller's device list
- Bring your Z-Wave gateway hub or controller within direct range of the switch
- Put your Z-Wave controller in exclusion mode
- Toggle the switch down quickly 3 times to complete the exclusion process
- The device should disappear from your controller's device list
Please repeat the process following all steps carefully if the first attempt is unsuccessful

Troubleshooting Tips:
If you are unable to include the Toggle Switch to your controller, please try one of the following:
- Bring the controller closer to your Z-Wave switch or use a hand-held secondary controller for inclusion
- Toggle your Z-Wave switch quicker 6 or 7 times once you put the controller in the inclusion mode to ensure the command has gone through
- Put your controller in the EXCLUSION mode and toggle the switch quickly 3 times, then try adding it to your network agai
Factory Reset:
If your primary controller is missing or inoperable, you may need to reset
the device to factory settings. To complete the reset process manually,
toggle-toggle-toggle’n’hold down for at least 10 seconds.
NOTE: All previously recorded activity and custom settings will be erased from the device’s memory

This channel provides the scene, and the event as a decimal value in the form <scene>.<event>
. The scene number is set by the device, and the event is as follows -:

Parameter 1: Choose if you want the to turn the light on by clicking the toggle up or down
Values:
0 – Toggle up turns the light on, toggle down turns the light off (default);
1 – Toggle up turns the light off, toggle down turns the light on

Time after which the switch automatically turns off Use this parameter to set the time after which you want the switch to automatically turn off once it has been turned on. The number entered as value corresponds to the number of minutes.
Values:
1 – 65535 (minutes).
60 – default.
Values in the range 1 to 65535 may be set.
The manufacturer defined default value is 60
.
This parameter has the configuration ID config_4_4
and is of type INTEGER
.

2 – remembers and restores on/off status after power failure (default)

Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.
The ZEN23 supports 2 association groups.
The Lifeline association group reports device status to a hub and is not designed to control other devices directly. When using the Lineline group with a hub, in most cases, only the lifeline group will need to be configured and normally the hub will perform this automatically during the device initialisation.
Association group 1 supports 1 node.
