The NZW39 supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network.

Overview

Z-Wave Plug/Dimmer w/Built-in Z-Wave Repeater, combines a Z-Wave Outlet & Range Extender in 1 Module

Inclusion Information

Put the controller into inclusion mode, then push the middle button on the smart plug 3-5 times within 3 seconds

Exclusion Information

Put the controller into exclusion mode, then push the middle button on the smart plug 3-5 times within 3 seconds

General Usage Information

500W Incandescent (1-Gang), 400W Incandescent (2-Gang), 300W Incandescent (3-Gang)

NOTE: If you’d like to disable the white LED light, after you include it to your network, hold down the Manual Button (A) for 10 seconds (re-enable by holding for 10 seconds).

IMPORTANT: This device defaults back to the state it was in prior to a power outage (ie: if the device was off prior to a power outage, it will remain off when power is restored, and vice versa if the device was on).

Please use your controller to remove the device from your network to factory reset. Only use this if your controller is missing or inoperable.

Channels

The following table summarises the channels available for the NZW39 -:

Channel Name Channel ID Channel Type Category Item Type
Dimmer switch_dimmer switch_dimmer DimmableLight Dimmer

Dimmer

The brightness channel allows to control the brightness of a light. It is also possible to switch the light on and off.

The switch_dimmer channel is of type switch_dimmer and supports the Dimmer item and is in the DimmableLight category.

Association Groups

Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.

The NZW39 supports 3 association groups.

Group 1: Lifeline

The Lifeline association group reports device status to a hub and is not designed to control other devices directly. When using the Lineline group with a hub, in most cases, only the lifeline group will need to be configured and normally the hub will perform this automatically during the device initialisation.

Association group 1 supports 1 node.

Group 2: Group 2

Sends on/off commands to associated devices when switch is pressed (BASIC_SET)

Association group 2 supports 5 nodes.

Group 3: Group 3

Sends dim/brighten commands to associated devices when switch is pressed (SWITCH_MULTILEVEL_SET)

Association group 3 supports 5 nodes.
