MH-S412 MCO Touch Panel Switch

This describes the Z-Wave device MH-S412, manufactured by McoHome Technology Co., Ltd with the thing type UID of mcohome_mhs41255_00_000.

The device is in the category of Wall Switch, defining Any device attached to the wall that controls a binary status of something, for ex. a light switch.

The MH-S412 supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network.

Overview

The Touch Panel Switch can be used to control house-hold electrical appliances like lamp, motor, coffee machine, TV set etc.

Inclusion Information

  1. Set controller into INCLUSION mode. Follow instructions provided by controller manufacturer.
  2. Press and hold any key on the panel for 8 seconds or 3 clicks in quick succession.
    Note: If inclusion is successful, all INDICATION LEDs on the panel will flash 4 times.

Exclusion Information

  1. Set controller into EXCLUSION mode. Follow instructions provided by controller manufacturer.
  2. Press and hold any key on the panel for 8 seconds or 3 clicks in quick succession.
    Note: If the exclusion is successful, all INDICATION LEDs on the panel will flash 4 times. The exclusion will delete all association data.

Switch

Switch the power on and off.

The switch_binary channel is of type switch_binary and supports the Switch item and is in the Switch category.

Scene Number

Triggers when a scene button is pressed.

The scene_number channel is of type scene_number and supports the Number item. This channel provides the scene, and the event as a decimal value in the form <scene>.<event>. The scene number is set by the device, and the event is as follows -:

Switch 1

Switch the power on and off.

The switch_binary1 channel is of type switch_binary and supports the Switch item and is in the Switch category.

Switch 2

Switch the power on and off.

The switch_binary2 channel is of type switch_binary and supports the Switch item and is in the Switch category.

Parameter 2: Switch state saved or not when power failure

Switch state saved or not when power failure 0x00 not saved,switch will be off when powered again

0x01 saved,switch will keep the same state when powered again - DEFAULT Values in the range 0 to 1 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 1.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_2_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 3: ALL ON/ALL OFF

ALL ON/ALL OFF 0x00 forbid ALL ON, forbid ALL OFF

0x01 forbid ALL ON, allow ALL OFF

0x02 allow ALL ON, forbid ALL OFF

0xFF allow ALL ON, allow ALL OFF - DEFAULT Values in the range 0 to 255 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 255.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_3_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 4: LED Backlit brightness level

LED Backlit brightness level 0x00 LED disabled

0x01~0x0A Min level-Max level

0x0A same level as 0x0A - DEFAULT Values in the range 1 to 10 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 10.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_4_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 5: Key Mode

Key Mode 0x00 single click to switch on/off status - DEFAULT

0x01 Key default as off state. When it is turned on, then it will be turned off automatically after a time period , which can be set in item 0x06

0x02 Key default as on state. When it is turned off, then it will be turned on automatically after a time period , which can be set in item 0x06

0x03 hold >3s then key is on, and off once released

0X04 single click to switch on/off status + hold >3s then key is on, and off once released

*\* This function works for corridor or stairwell situation. **** Values in the range 0 to 4 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 0.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_5_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 6: Key On duration

Key On duration 0x00 infinite - DEFAULT

1~65535 unit "sec" Values in the range 0 to 65535 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 0.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_6_2 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 8: Basic CC integration setting

Basic CC integration setting 0x00 "Basic Set" received,key 1 responds; "Basic Get" received,key 1 sends "Basic Report"; key 1 will not send unsolicited "Basic Report"(No Endpoint)to LifeLine Association - DEFAULT

The manufacturer defined default value is 0.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_8_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 10: Scene respond

Scene respond 0x00: Scene respond disabled

Bit0: =1 Key1 respond scene

        =0 Key1 not respond scene

Bit1: =1 Key2 respond scene

        =0 Key2 not respond scene

Bit7:4 Rev Values in the range 0 to 0 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 0.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_10_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Switch All Mode

Set the mode for the switch when receiving SWITCH ALL commands.

The following option values may be configured -:

Value Description
0 Exclude from All On and All Off groups
1 Include in All On group
2 Include in All Off group
255 Include in All On and All Off groups

This parameter has the configuration ID switchall_mode and is of type INTEGER.

Association Groups

Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.

The MH-S412 supports 3 association groups.

Group 1: Lifeline

The Lifeline association group reports device status to a hub and is not designed to control other devices directly. When using the Lineline group with a hub, in most cases, only the lifeline group will need to be configured and normally the hub will perform this automatically during the device initialisation.

Association group 1 supports 1 node.

Group 2: Associated with key 1

Association group 2 supports 5 nodes.

Group 5: Associated with key 2

Association group 5 supports 5 nodes.
