The MH-S314 supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network.

Overview

Touch Panel Switch is a wall switch with built-in Z-Wave module. It supports basic command class, multi channel command class and multi channel association command class, which can control all associated devices synchronously. This product can be included and operated in any Z-Wave network with other Z-Wave certified devices from any other manufacturers.

Inclusion Information

Press and hold any key on the panel for 8 seconds. If inclusion is successful, all INDICATION LEDs on the panel will turn green, and all switches will turn on.

Exclusion Information

Press and hold any key on the panel for 8 seconds.  If the exclusion is successful, all INDICATION LEDs on the panel will turn orange, and all switches will turn off. The exclusion will delete all association data.

Device Configuration

The following table provides a summary of the 6 configuration parameters available in the MH-S314. Detailed information on each parameter can be found in the sections below.

Param Name Description
2 Switch state saved or not when power failure Switch state saved or not when power failure
3 ALL ON/ALL OFF ALL ON/ALL OFF
4 LED Backlit brightness level 0 LED disabled 1-10 Min level-Max level >10 same level as 10
5 Key Mode Key Mode (0-4)
6 Key On duration 0 infinite 1~65535 unit "sec" 0x00
255 Factory setting 85 restore factory setting
Switch All Mode Set the mode for the switch when receiving SWITCH ALL commands

Parameter 2: Switch state saved or not when power failure

Switch state saved or not when power failure 0=not saved, switch will be off when powered again 1=saved,switch will keep the same state when powered again Values in the range 0 to 1 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 1.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_2_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 3: ALL ON/ALL OFF

ALL ON/ALL OFF 0=forbid ALL ON, forbid ALL OFF

1=forbid ALL ON, allow ALL OFF

2=allow ALL ON, forbid ALL OFF

255=allow ALL ON, allow ALL OFF Values in the range 0 to 255 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 255.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_3_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 4: LED Backlit brightness level

0 LED disabled 1-10 Min level-Max level >10 same level as 10

Values in the range 0 to 10 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 10.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_4_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 5: Key Mode

Key Mode (0-4) 0=single click to switch on/off status

1=Key default as off state. When it is turned on, then it will be turned off automatically after a time period , which can be set in item 5

2=Key default as on state. When it is turned off, then it will be turned on automatically after a time period , which can be set in item 5

3=hold >3s then key is on, and off once released

4=single click to switch on/off status +hold >3s then key is on, and off once released Values in the range 0 to 4 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 0.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_5_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 6: Key On duration

0 infinite 1~65535 unit "sec" 0x00

Values in the range 0 to 65535 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 0.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_6_2 and is of type INTEGER.

Parameter 255: Factory setting

85 restore factory setting This is an advanced parameter and will therefore not show in the user interface without entering advanced mode. Values in the range 0 to 0 may be set.

The manufacturer defined default value is 0.

This parameter has the configuration ID config_255_1_wo and is of type INTEGER. This is a write only parameter.

Switch All Mode

Set the mode for the switch when receiving SWITCH ALL commands.

The following option values may be configured -:

Value Description
0 Exclude from All On and All Off groups
1 Include in All On group
2 Include in All Off group
255 Include in All On and All Off groups

This parameter has the configuration ID switchall_mode and is of type INTEGER.

Association Groups

Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.

The MH-S314 supports 5 association groups.

Group 1: All Status Reports

Association group 1 supports 1 node.

Group 2: Switch Button Group 1

Association group 2 supports 5 nodes.

Group 5: Switch Button Group 2

Association group 5 supports 5 nodes.

Group 8: Switch Button Group 3

Association group 8 supports 5 nodes.

Group 11: Switch Button Group 4

Association group 11 supports 5 nodes.
