This works but I cannot see the arrows styling for left or right.. If someone else uses it they won't know its there.

Found the issue. Glyphicon has been dropped from Bootstrap 4.
https://v4-alpha.getbootstrap.com/migration/

Using Bootstrap 3 fixed the issue.
