The README just says "it's deprecated", and the 4.2.0 upgrade guide just describes how to use the core APIs. There's no description on how to actually replace the module, and what to consider. For example, if your authors relied on the CMS-based editing of cache expiry per page, core does not provide a replacement for that.

Write up a summary on how to migrate in the README, and link that in the 4.2.0 release notes (retroactively)
