Module version(s) affected

2.2.5

Description

The editor window collapses after exiting full-screen view instead of displaying the content. This happens only the first time loading the CMS editor window. If I resize the editor window, press fullscreen button then exit, the editor window retains the previously resized display.

This is how it looks like when the editor has collapsed. If I resize the editor area, go to fullscreen mode then exit, it will display the correct (adjusted) height.

Note: issue happens with or without content on a fresh site install.

How to reproduce

Preliminary steps:

  1. Make sure fullscreen is enabled and added on editor config

Replication steps:

  1. Open/create a page on the CMS
  2. Press the fullscreen button on the editor area (content is not a requirement).
  3. Exit fullscreen mode
  4. Editor area collapses.
  5. Resize the editor area to desired height
  6. Press fullscreen button
  7. Exit fullscreen mode
  8. Editor area is correctly restored to its adjusted height

You can also see the attached video to replicate the issue.

Validations

  • Check that there isn't already an issue that reports the same bug
  • Double check that your reproduction steps work in a fresh installation of silverstripe/installer (with any code examples you've provided)
