Provide a method to install The Combine on a standalone PC for use in areas that do not have reliable access to the Internet and are too remote to reliably exchange NUCs for their workshops.

It is expected that The Combine project will:

  • generate TLS certificates for PCs for the standalone instances that are created; and
  • manage access tokens for the standalone PCs to periodically get the TLS certificates and their renewals.

Options to consider:

  • Live USB with:
    • Ubuntu Server
    • The Combine
    • Combine configuration tool
  • Live USB above with installation script to install on SSD/HDD instead of running from Live USB
  • Create The Combine as a snap package
