Bug Description

After updating Signal from 6.29.1 to 6.30.0 today, I had the new show/hide tabs UI rolled out, which displayed that a notification was available. Showing tabs, however, didn't show any notifications on my tabs. It was only after going into my settings and turning on stories (via Privacy > Share & View Stories) did it reveal that it was a notification from the Stories tab.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Have a Stories notification
  2. Disable stories via Privacy > Share & View Stories
  3. Observe result

Actual Result:

The notification bubble remains even though the Stories tab is not visible

Expected Result:

Only visible tabs should contribute to the active notification count

Screenshots

n/a, I have already dismissed the Signal-generated story which prompted this bug report
