  • I have searched open and closed issues for duplicates
  • [ X] I am using Signal-Desktop as provided by the Signal team, not a 3rd-party package.
No third party package used. Intalled Signal from the Debian repository.

Bug Description

When People post on Signal the messages show up in the Signal Linux desktop program, Not in the app on Android.
Also the messages on the Android app get out of chronological order of receiving because they are not received in the chronological order.

Steps to Reproduce

That is a difficult one. The issue just happens every now and then. I can not reproduce it, it also would involve other peoples help.

  1. I noticed that some messages which I received for a group in de Linux Desktop Program were not visible on the Andriod app.
  2. I placed a message in the group with the Linux Desktop Program. It did not show up in the Android app, not even after waiting for several minutes.
  3. When I posted a message from the Android app it immediately show up in the group in the Linux Desktop Program

Actual Result:

Messages sent by others are visible in the Linux Desktop program not in the Android app, even after waiting for a long time.

Expected Result:

All messages synchronize within a few seconds.

@zounp We've had several reports of this kind of behavior on linux devices after coming back from sleep/suspend. Desktop is in a messed-up state, often, after sleep/suspend. Does that seem to match what you're seeing?

We could confirm that if you provide a debug log (View -> Debug Log).
