Allow users to change font and background

Hello
There is a simple feature request for both Desktop and mobile app which is letting users to customize their background image.
More important on the Desktop app the font for Persian language is not good enough. Choosing a better font at least will be a great feature. (Telegram did it recently!)

I find it frustrating that this is a webapp wrapper where I should be able to easily change the font to match my preferred system font/font-stack as a CSS property. [Furthermore, being able to disable the bright colours on message bubbles would be nice.]

I would prefer to view the text in a specific font like Consolas. Easier to identify 1, I, l, O, o 0, and various others.

A good case for being able to set the background color is that it can help people distinguish chat groups and not type into the wrong one. Given Signal's message deletion limitations this would be a valuable feature.

👍 This should be related to the Themes feature, and also allow to choose a color palette, esp. as some colors might better than others on top of a certain background (I personally don't like the color choices for contacts or the white background).

The Persian Font For Signal Desktop is Awful...
There are two opensource fonts for Persian:

or you can add the font choosing feature by user!

The current font setting prioritize Simplified Chinese over other CJK locales which is not quite ideal.
