Bug Description

Message limit on Android phone is set to 25 and works as expected on the phone.

However, the message limit is not being followed by the desktop app and continues to show messages. This increases loading time and also has me assuming that these messages are still floating around a server somewhere if the desktop app can retrieve them even after they've been scrubbed by the phones 25 message limit setting.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Set phone app message limit to 25
  2. have a conversation longer than 25 messages
  3. Launch Desktop app=

Actual Result:
Windows app displays all messages, even those that "fell off" after the 25 message limit set by the phone

Expected Result:
The messages viewable on the phone app should match the ones visible on the desktop app
