configurable log level #3503
Comments
How did you install it? By default its logging shouldn't be captured by the system. |
I installed it using the apt archive using the instructions at https://signal.org/download/. I see that by itself the program just outputs to stdout/stderr. But when it's launched via the GNOME desktop environment (as is normal), the output is captured and sent to the system logger. |
I can confirm this happens on Ubuntu 16.04 with latest version (1.26.2) updated today from your debian repo. |

Signal Desktop on Linux spams my system log with a bunch of useless stuff. I would like to be able to configure the log level (perhaps in config.json) for messages sent to the system log.
I would be willing to submit a PR for this feature.
