[Feature Request] Sync old messages from phone to desktop on link #1533
Comments
@xs2github Hi there. Sorry you're having trouble! You'll need to provide more detail if we are to help you with this issue - the template is meant to be filled out, not included verbatim in the issue. |
I seem to have a similar issue. After installing signal-desktop I don't see any of my conversations. Does it not sync with the data on my phone (similar to WhatsApp Web)? |
@kaimast No, it does not sync messages that you received before installing Desktop. |
I understand. Seems like a strange design decision to me though, not having your phone on is not really a thing that happens very often. Is syncing the messages from your phone to the desktop planned for future releases? @xs2github is that the problem you had? |
This looks like a dupe of #444 |
Duplicate it is. |
I was wondering if not syncing messages on phone (prior to installing desktop app) was actually a bug! |
