Hi @lu-zero and @dodomorandi !

I am coming from w3c/wot-thing-description#1512 and I am really intrigued and excited about this project. I could not find other contact information anywhere so I have decided to open this issue. Would you be open to talk about what the background is (other than sifis-home EU project), what you overall plans are and maybe also getting some feedback from you about the WoT specifications?

We can talk here or you can contact me at [email protected]

Hi, we can discuss here (or even better I can open the discussion section and move it there).

As part of the SIFIS-Home project we are trying to demonstrate that is possible to make the whole Home IoT experience more trustworthy for the end user.

We selected Web Of Things as one of the technologies to experiment with since it is open and its paradigm fits well the high level SIFIS concepts regarding hazard-labeling.

We started contributing to the webthings.io rust (and arduino) implementation, but then we decided to take a more structured approach.

sifis-rust

We will write stand alone crates focused on specific concerns regarding WoT, that hopefully can then be reused by third parties such as webthings-rust and crateway.

Our first concern is making easier to make and consume Thing Descriptions, then have a way to build Things (a la webthings-rust, but structured), then provide the building blocks to leverage at least the mDNS discovery, and eventually bind everything together and extend it with our hazard ontology and hopefully demonstrate the rest of the SIFIS concepts with it.

You will get probably more questions and issues open on the things description, discovery and later protocol bindings specification as we go through them.

I'll ping you on the gmail chat as well :)
