Can one also use events? So, when someone edits, protects, deletes a page, blocks, unblocks users, grants/revokes permissions, etc?

On Wikimedia wikis, there's EventStreams which you can use with a client like https://github.com/ChlodAlejandro/wikimedia-streams. For other wikis, you could poll the recentchanges API periodically.

Can't you just integrate this into MWN? So, for other wikis too? This is actually common in libraries (see libraries for Discord)
