Hi. I had the suspicion that this package was mass-deleting my files sometimes and just now it happened again. I am now fairly certain it is this package. It always happens when I go to empty my trash that extra files and folders outside of trash get deleted.

I suspect this is related to Emacs 30.

Hi,

I am sorry that I didn't reply for a long time. Could you provide a little more information, Such as:

  • Emacs version
  • OS (value of system-type)
  • Location of the deleted files (as long as it's ok for a privacy reason)
  • Any hint for a root cause (if any... the suspect is due to a bug in Emacs develop version 30?)

Thanks in advance.

Emacs version: 30, commit d0b36be59ab9840eebbda45609bc8c075ece40c0. System type, gnu/linux. Location of deleted files: many directories in my ~/.config/, ~/Documents/, and other directories like that. Not sure of the root cause at all. Emacs30 was a guess but I have no information except that this has happened at least 3 times after clearing the trash with Trashed.

Hi. I don't have logs but the safety assertion has been tripped a few times actually!

Apparently in this scenario they can be dead symbolic links. Not sure if something horrible would happen if Trashed tried to delete those.
