We're getting lots of bot traffic, especially those combinatorially following every facet combination.

One bot defense we could implement, possibly targetted to search results pages, is Cloudflare Turnstile

While the easy path usecase involves form submission, some peers have used it to protect search results in a different way, see https://lehigh-university-libraries.github.io/blog/turnstile.html
