I would like to put styled text, image, etc as a table content.
It's really great if we could have flexibility in a table content using blockContent.

This has been a long requested feature from the original table rdunk/sanity-plugin-table#15

It has come up at my work, I may experiment with this soon. Do you have any particular requirements @k-yomo ?

Oh I see! Thank you!!
Our use case is to use it as a comparison table in media.
So highlighting text and showing image would be top 2 that we would like to use.

hello @k-yomo, I just introduced a new plugin called Sanity Portable Table that allows for Portable Text cells. Try it out and open an issue for bugs/feedback. PRs welcome!

Sanity Portable Table is a very welcome step in the right direction, but it doesn't have the same visual representation of an actual table in the editors experience, making building out complex tables, such as the one screenshotted below, very difficult. So, I think this should still be considered for this plugin – especially as it's maintained by the Core sanity team, meaning the longevity of it is likely more reliable.

+1 to this as a need for us. Unfortunately there's a blocking bug in Sanity Portable Table that makes it unusable at the moment and the author stated they're unable to resolve it.
