Not an "issue", but as I cant find any other place to say this: Without doubt the best explanation of SD card initialization Ive found to date. Wonderful bit of work, thank you very much.

For what its worth, I have a version 1 card, and your code in tut 4 wont initialise the disk. That is because it replies "illegal command" where version 2 cards go to idle state (sdcard.c lines 30-38). I was thinking how to test for V1 vs V2 but so far have not figured it out, however if I ignore these tests the card does initialize.
