no license #34
Comments
I think that after #26 the code diverged significantly from cargo-psp, so we may be able to use whatever license we want due to most code being ours (though I'm not a lawyer nor have I worked in this repo 😄) |
you'd be able to use whatever license you want anyways since mit isn't share alike. it would just require the notice to be copied over. either way i think the best option is to give this repo an mit license and include the one from cargo-psp since it's safer and convenient for other projects. gpl, agpl, and various other licenses would also work but that's probably just going to confuse people that don't quite understand how the licenses work, and it's extremely unlikely anyone would make a closed source fork |
We mostly use MIT/Apache 2.0 and Zlib, so we'll probably stick to that. |
(i am not a lawyer)
as far as i can tell, this project has no license. i don't think i or other people can legally use or contribute to it without a license.
also, the readme says it's based on cargo-psp, which is quite vague. if it uses its code, i'm pretty sure it needs the mit license of cargo-psp somewhere in this repo, and the PSPSDK license (since cargo-psp uses it)
