What did you try exactly ? How should it look like ?

There is no specific email field, but you can probaly add several affiiliation in a single string for the affiliation field under author (https://rstudio.github.io/distill/metadata.html)

Thanks for the prompt reply. I did opt to use a single string in the affiliation field. However, it seems quite common for authors to have multiple affiliations. Do you think adding that feature would be feasible in the future?

Ideally, something like latex that supports customized affiliation, e.g.

\author{Alice Smith\affilnum{1, 2} and Bob Johnson\affilnum{2}}

\affiliation{\affilnum{1}Smith Ltd, UK\\
\affilnum{2}Johnson Publications Ltd, UK}

Or maybe allowing the affiliation field to accept a list of affiliations.
