We advise folks to run this code to make sure the default R_LIBS_USER directory exists, after an R upgrade, but before re-installing add-on packages:
R_LIBS_USER
fs::dir_create(Sys.getenv("R_LIBS_USER"))
But, by definition, they won't have fs (yet). So this snippet should really be base R code probably.
