In order to run a local restyling on (e.g.) an M1 Mac, we would need to have cross-platform images available. This would require extending CI to do so. I don't totally know how easy or hard that would be, if there are cost implications, or how much it would affect CI duration.

NOTE: I'm unlikely to investigate myself. Contributions welcome.
