Question: How long does it take to sync settings.yml with GitHub?

Hello

I am experimenting with this action to use in all of our repositories in our organization and wanted to ask a question. I noticed that the changes such as updating the repository description is not happening instantly. What is the time required for changes in the settings.yml to update the actual GitHub settings? Also I am not sure if this is working or not since I had to delete the repository and re-create it a couple of times
