[bug] Metamask not detected in Firefox browser

Summary

• I am using firefox browser with metamask version 12.0.6.
• Going on the official appkit lab I wanted to try and connect metamask but the default option I was show was the mobile version.
• On switching to the browser tab inside the metamask option given in the reown wallet I was met with the message "Not Detected".
• I tried connecting when metamask was locked and when it wasn't
• Ideally when the wallet is unlocked it should open the extension and then proceed with the normal connect your wallet user flow, and if its locked then it should prompt the user to unlock it, and then proceed with the normal user flow.

Not really sure, since I didn't spin up appkit on my local. I was playing with the demo.
I'll just list the node version and package manager that I use while developing in the next 2 fields. XD

It seems the issue also applies to the rabby.io extension wallet - any updates? @arein

No fix yet. But we are able to repro and are prioritizing this shortly

Testing with:

• MM Firefox 12.6.2
• Firefox 130.0

I can confirm that the MM is listed in extension wallets and getting opened when selecting it:
