Fix pytest 34 skipped

Problem

When running pytest on a Python 3.11 environment, the tests are passing but with 34 skipped (and warnings).

Proposed solution

Go through the "skipped" notifications/summary and fix them

Let's check. Many of these may be intentional skips, but we should take a look and make sure.
