As someone pretty new to Haskell, I really really would like this to be on Stackage. I understand that nix is really cool after looking into it, but I feel very discouraged to use reflex simply because its the odd one out. I don't have anything else that requires nix and I feel that it is much easier to try things out using Stackage than the ./try-reflex command.

I know it doesn't mean so much from a student, but at the same time I feel like if you want reflex to grow even further and bring new people in, it's definitely a good thing to try if its possible? Would certainly make my night easier right now!

fwiw, I have used several project using only cabal new-* (without need reflex-platform) and it works perfectly fine (at least for now). And you can simply using reflex-project-skeleton.

if you are windows user, then you might need stack if you cannot spin up nixos / ubuntu vm.

just some advice.

This comes up to recent discussion in #ghcjs freenode that link to the this issue I'm not sure if it is still necessary to put under the milestone of reflex regarding maintain reflex present in Stackage.

Until this package is in Hackage, I created a hackage overlay with this package: http://hackage-ghcjs-overlay.nomeata.de/

I would love to see this! Probably it would also make editor integration easier.

Reflex and many other reflex-based libraries are on Hackage now, but still not Stackage.
