General Instructions

  • We've had complaints from the field that when users are running internet explorer and using books with large spines that the browsing experience is poor. The book in question was a math textbook with MathJax, Tables, Images, etc.

Expected Behaviour

Book content should resize and flow as if it were any other web page.

Observed behaviour

Book content becomes jittery/laggy and unresponsive to the user.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open multimedia rich book with a large spine (80-100+ pages)
  2. Resize the book content.

Test file(s)

Unfortunately the book in question is only available for sale and I can not link it.

Product

  • Native application (Readium SDK C++)
    • propietary app
    • Windows 10
    • WPF application using the WebBrowser control (IE 11)
