"clear" command only scrolls the output #120

Whenever the terminal is cleared, Terminus does not actually clear the terminal, but instead scrolls it out of view.

Is there some way to actually clear the terminal completely?

it depends on your clear program. Some clear program only scrolls and some other versions of clear program clear scrollback history.

By the way, how about the reset program? It should also clear scrollback history.

reset seems to work, but only when running in the Linux version (left on windows, right via X11 on linux)

It depends on the command which I have no control of it. Bu the way, there is a Terminus: Reset to clear the scrollback .
