<p>The University of British Columbia's Sikh Student Association was the first establishment of its kind in all of North America. Since its inception in 1984, the UBC SSA has grown to be a significant part of the Sikh youth in British Columbia. </p>

<p>Simon Fraser University's Sikh Student Association was founded in the early 1990s to create an avenue for Sikh students to share and promote their values. This club provides an opportunity to all Sikh students to learn more about their religion and educate others though various community services.</p>
