Grouping these together since they're pretty similar. I'd like to remove the need to push to update testing devices, thus creating messy commits full of non-functional code. This feature also needs to be documented thoroughly to ensure that other potential murkmod developers can take advantage of this.

I'm working on a replacement for this on the side, and it'll be released in a few weeks if everything goes well. I'll post updates as I make progress.
