I'm filing this for visibility. A large part of the work necessary to produce Erlang 27.x packages has already been done.
Specifically, on a branch named erlang-27, patch number 3 was updated to apply to the maint-27 (the tip of Erlang 27 development), the package builds successfully on aarch64 and crypto/TLS modules are functional.
However, we cannot yet start publishing the actual packages built via Actions in rabbitmq/erlang-packages. This is because RabbitMQ is still
one pull request short for "complete Erlang 27 support" without certain performance regressions,
and because Erlang 27.1.x still has a few unresolved (or resolved but not yet shipped) bugs that
affect RabbitMQ, such as
