Hi,

Love this package, I think is key resource for any user that wants to work with Spanish data.

I wonder if you envisage a CRAN submission, as it would provide major visibility to this resource. Of course it would likely imply more effort in terms of active support.

No need to say, but if you feel I can help on the submission process (I already have a few rejections on my records) happy to do it.

Saludos y gracias otra vez por el paquete 🎉

Hi @dieghernan,

Me and @jlopezper recently talked about this. The issue is that opendataes constantly breaks because they change stuff in the API rather frequently (think of very simple things like a slot in the resulting JSON now has changed). We currently don't have the capacity to handle fixing this in time for CRAN not to exclude the package (in case we run some tests on CRAN, which we would skip I guess).

Before we submit to CRAN, I was thinking the we should at least have the most number of publishers available that we can. At the moment we only have around 10 because these are the ones which we know we can read over 80% of their data without errors. We're aiming soon to have a script read in all the datasets from datos.gob.es and give us a summary of the percentage of datasets we can read from each publisher. Once we have that, we can include as many as possible and the package usage can scale rather nicely.

Having said this, we still have the problem of the package breaking frequently because of small changes. If you're interested in adding some man power to give support, we can think about how feasible it is. Would you be interested?
