Google Season of Docs 2022

This year, the R project involvement in Google Season of Docs is likely to be more related to R development - probably further work on the R Development Guide.

There is a separate GitHub org for this: https://github.com/rstats-gsod/gsod2022 but noting here as we consider it an RCWG task and will discuss it at group meetings.

Hi @Athene-ai, I'm one of the two people actively working on GSOD but you can propose improvements to the guide https://github.com/r-devel/rdevguide.
I'm currently working on adding installation instructions from R source code. It would be helpful (to me) if you could check that they are easy to follow.

does "fine" mean that you've followed the instructions and succeeded in getting a work version of R, e.g., the development version of today, correctly running on your computer?
