We are currently leaning towards treating overcurrent, overtemperature, fan failure and similar conditions as permanent interlocks. They will disable the affected channel(s) and can only be cleared by a reset/reboot/power cycle (reboot will be exposed through network/uart). They don't have any user-adjustable thresholds nor can we reasonably assume that they are transient and benign.
The power monitor interlocks can be cleared without a reboot via button or network.
