Interface definitely works pretty well for it. I had been thinking this would have to be a dedicated mode, but Émilie's new sequencer has me thinking it might be cool to incorporate it in that. Here's what I'm thinking: There's a way to "lock" the current sequencer, maybe by setting the control segment to bipolar or control segment to random or something. Then, button presses in the sequence enable/disable that "head" of the sequencer.
Downside of this approach is that you have to use a control segment for it.
