Start implementing tests for bigger operations like import, export

Release 1.1.0 we got caught out with:

• UAT window that was too small for rest of github community to provide feedback
• bugs creeping into operations that possibly aren't used as heavily by our sponsor (export package and import package)

We can handle the first simply enough (delay to month for example), but for the second need to find time to introduce at least the start of these into some of the automated tests.
