Currently, I encountered several problems when using the IRCCloud webapp over TetherFi:

  • On Firefox I am immediately redirected from the web app's main UI to the login page after a successful log-in:

  • On Chrome I can successfully log in, however, the WebSocket connection to the service seems to be constantly disconnected after ~10s of connection(idle timeout?).

These problems are not reproduced when connecting to the service directly.

Note

We probably should allow users to specify which IP addresses/subnets to be excluded from the idle timeout mechanism, using the information provided by the service.

Here is the environmental information where the problem can be reproduced:

51(Google Play) (Wi-Fi Direct; 5GHz; always-alive; show notification)

  • Chrome 130.0.6723.91
