Mailnag losing password

On every logout or restart, Mailnag losing password. Version 2.2, installed from Mint/Ubuntu repo. Mint Xfce 21.1
And, of course, the old issue, closing the laptop lid or going to sleep stops Mailnag checking emails (Yahoo). It needs to be restarted.
Any solutions for these problems?

When you wrote "Mailnag losing password", did you mean the passwords were deleted from the following configuration file?

~/.config/mailnag/mailnag.cfg
