I've contaced the author of hexo-hey to add thumbnail and lede support to admin page for frontmatter support. Since this plugin supports drag and drop images in post will really create a complete end-user solution. Since he's is doing a re-write soon he seemed open to suggestion
Since Swiftype has become a rather costly search soultion I'm hoping you might consider incorporating an alternative solution like conside one of the following

hexo-generator-search
hexo-algoliasearch
