What would be the obstacles for developing modifier meshes that didn't create new bodies when used? For example, I'd love to be able to slow down perimeters in a simple part with many screw holes. If I add a cylinder modifier mesh on each screw hole it basically creates a new part at the intersection and thus adds its own perimeters. Why can't just the area within the intersecting meshes be printed with whatever settings I specify without creating a new body? I print large parts for customers and use lots of infill so speed is a factor so I'd love to be able to slow down the print when it's laying down small features like perimeters for screw holes. I want the rest of the perims on the part to print faster/normal speed. I understand the need for perimeters to "contain" the changes within a certain area as transitioning from one infill type to another for example on the same layer might be problematic. Just curious if something like this is already possible, possible, or not possible.

Similar to #3317, #3742, #3846. I am closing this one to reduce number of duplicate issues.
Modifier volume with different settings will split the object into pieces, which are sliced independently. This is the way how PS work with modifiers at the moment.
