Git Bash - Ctl-C after git diff breaks text input #1014

If I preform a git diff on a repo with multiple file changes, I can observe the diff correctly

But, when I leave with Ctl-C and go back to the cmd line (git bash terminal) I can no longer enter text and have to close and relaunch the application.

Using version Git-2.16.2-64-bit on Windows 10 (latest public updates installed)
