Dialog: no transition on open/close when dialog is maximized

Describe the bug

When the dialog is opened or closed, a fade-in/out transition occurs. But after clicking the 'maximize' button, this transition no longer happens upon reopening or closing the dialog.

1. Open a dialog (notice a transition occurs)
2. Click the 'maximize' button
3. Close the dialog (notice no transition occurs)
4. Reopen the dialog (notice no transition occurs)

Expected behavior

The transition to work on maximized mode as well
